(Oh, yeah... bring it on, Lubar!)
As we're scurrying around the web, friending the good folks who've already got us on their blogrolls, we keep coming up with tidbits about 2k8. We thought you might like to know that:
We got a mention in this PW article about the Class of 2k7 (our big sibs)!
And one over here, at A Fuse #8 Production, the blog of librarian extraordinaire, Elizabeth Bird!
Brilliant, bearded, and balding author David Lubar even saw fit to make fun of us. Yeah!

Starting to seem real, isn't it? Come on, 2008--we're ready!
Yay for you guys! :)
Wow. Hard to believe that it's already here!

I loved those links, especially the David Lubar one! I always thought the reason to avoid creamy soups had to do with calories. Who knew they offended in other ways as well?
And yet, they are sooo good.
Maybe there could be a holiday. Creamy Soup Day--the one day per year when we all eat the creamy soup of our choice without worrying about consquences to beards, mustaches, waistlines and group membership!

Here's wishing you a great year and tons of success. It's nice that you have the benefit of seeing all the mistakes the class of 2K7 made. Smart move sitting back and letting them go first.
Thanks so much!
And yeah, that was the plan. YEARS ago I wrote this book, and a lot of editors were like, "Oh, let us publish that wonderful manuscript!"
But I was all, "No, way, man! I'm waiting for a group of people to band together, form an authors collective, and work out the kinks in the system. THEN you can publish my book!
;)
And for the record, that was from me, Laurel Snyder...
Wouldn't want to speak snarkily for anyone else. Hee!
